The Leslie Valley neighbourhood is in northeast Newmarket, directly south of the Huron Heights neighbourhood. The neighbourhood is well-established, with a number of parks and schools, a health centre, seniors' residence, and amenities spread throughout the area. The area has easy access to Highway 404, for commuters. It is also close to the many stores and restaurants just on the other side of Yonge Street, which is the eastern boundary. Housing is mixed, with mostly single detached homes built in the 1980–90s, but also semi-detached, townhomes, and apartment buildings, as well as some estate homes on large properties.
